All students will learn voice production, breath control, elements of speech, pitch, emphasis, tone, tempo, volume and rhythm. Challenge your mind, improve your emotional health, develop confidence and grow your skills as you explore the power of voice and connection in all our classes.

Join us Saturdays beginning October 14, 2017 for an age appropriate 2 hour class, which includes: improvisation, voice and scene work, theatre games, stage combat and consistent rehearsals for year round presentations at the prestigious Arts & Letters Club!

Taught by two established professionals with vast experience between them, classes encourage responsibility, team work, confidence building, memory work, body/voice awareness and more - all valuable life skills!

Gerald Isaac

Gerald Isaac is a world-class, award winning triple threat. This accomplished actor, opera tenor and dancer with over 40 years performing live on the professional stage will guide you to your full potential. Whether you're an experienced professional or just starting out, Gerald will show you how to find the power in your voice and performance.

Brian Kennington

An actor, teacher, writer and director, Brian Kennington has worked in theatre and film across Canada. His great love for acting led him to a successful career teaching drama to children and youth in schools and community centres in Toronto. A writer of award winning plays, with a screenplay in the works, Brian is thrilled to be teaching with his lifelong friend, Gerald.

Musical TheatrE PRESENTATION (13-30)

Tuesdays 7-9pm

Become a true performer as you learn to take responsibility for the relationship between your character’s music, text and movement throughout your performance as part of this fun and challenging ensemble class. Experience the excitement of live performance, as this class requires each participant to apply individual and ensemble skills learned through the year in a staged ensemble presentation at the end of the year.

Thursdays 7-9pm

Study and learn without the pressure of out-of-studio performance. We explore musical theatre, popular standards, jazz standards, some acting and movement, harmonizing, singing in parts and solo singing. Find your voice and express a wide range of character, emotion and story in this supportive and challenging class. Develop your knowledge of music and skill while you sing as part of an ensemble. Achieve a sense of accomplishment and develop confidence while releasing feel-good endorphins and improving left-brain thinking and cognitive skills. Leave the pressures of your day behind.

Audition prep and speech classes only are offered in minimums of four.
